- What technology or advancement did you read about?
- How will this improve the field that it is going to be used in?
- What makes this advancement better than what was being used previously?
- Do you think this new advancement is safe?
- Is it already being used on patients or is it still in the development stage?
- I read about Teixobactin. The reason to is important is, because it kills bacteria. It kills bacteria by breaking down the cell's wall and ending any growth of bacteria. This is a good antibiotic because it kills the whole cell which stops the growth and the bacteria starts to die. I think it is safe because it they infected a rat and it worked the rat was ok after the treatment. They also can grow it in a lab, so they can monitor the medicine and see if it is safe. Teixobactin is still being worked on to improve, they also want to make sure it is safe to give to humans. These are all the reasons I decided to write about Teixobactin.
